MUSIC SCHOOL

Our Music School makes available to you approximately 40 talented, caring musician/teachers.

Under their expert guidance, you can explore the traditions of Celtic, Blues, Bluegrass, Classical, Old Time, Country, Jazz and more. In fact, wherever your musical tastes lean, we have a teacher to help you grow!

Excellent musicians who love to teach

Playing music is one of the most satisfying experiences you can have in a lifetime. That is why we have gone to great lengths to find teachers for our Music School who have superb reputations as both excellent musicians and as instructors who are passionate about teaching you how to play the music you love.

Choosing a teacher

Students contact teachers directly to inquire about their classes and schedule lessons with them. Many teachers work with students right here at Artichoke Music. Others teach in a dedicated studio or in their home.

In the table to the right, you will find the names of our teachers listed by instrument and class. To learn more about each teacher, just click on their name. This will take you to the teacher's bio and contact information. Alternatively, you can also come into the store and look through our Teacher Referral Book.

Group classes  & special workshops

In addition to individual lessons, many of our teachers also offer group classes and special workshops. These are fun and economical ways to experience some wonderful genres of music. From Old Time, Bluegrass and Celtic to Classical, Jazz and Improv, you will learn tunes in harmony with other instruments (or voices) and may even perform during the last class!

To see a current list of classes and workshops, click on the calendar. You can also contact individual teachers and ask them to put you on a list for their next group class.
