Music Bio
As a Portland native I grew up playing the piano. I discovered the
Celtic harp about 15 years ago and began lessons in a group class with
Laura Zaerr. I then studied with Jenny Lindner for many years until I
opened my own harp shop in 2000.
I began teaching adult beginners and,
as my teaching schedule increased, moved my business home to focus on
lessons. My training was classically based but I have also participated
in many workshops dedicated to Scottish and Irish technique; the most
recent was a week-long workshop with Wendy Stewart in Scotland in 2005.
I have also participated in workshops with Grainne Hambly, William
Jackson and Kim Robertson.
I have several harps available to rent to students; I
always keep an extra harp in my studio for lessons so the student does
not have to bring a harp to lessons.
